Enduring Friendships, Values and Community
Camp Ramah in Canada has transformed the lives of more than 30,000 children and young adults with exciting programs and meaningful Jewish experiences that build character, cultivate skills and develop future leaders.
With a generous fee assistance program, Camp Ramah in Canada is committed to serving a diverse population and to providing a Ramah experience that nurtures friendships, values and community that endure beyond the summer months.
Ramah is different than many other camps insofar as it is grounded by a team of trained professionals who provide senior-level support and care to the camper community. Our adult advisors are in regular contact with campers, staff and parents, ensuring that communication is seamless and constructive. Parents can rest assured that their children are well cared for, and campers and staff have peace of mind knowing that there is an added layer of support built into the system.
Every generation, we watch as Ramah campers emerge as leaders throughout our community. This doesn’t just happen. At Ramah, campers and staff have the opportunity to hone their leadership skills – building programs, supervising activities, and taking on new responsibilities each summer. We take to heart that we are building our community.
Located in the heart of Muskoka, just two hours north of Toronto, Camp Ramah in Canada operates under the auspices of the Jewish Theological Society in Canada and under the educational supervision of the National Ramah Commission in New York.
Campers currently in Grades 3-8 are generally accepted either for a one-session program (approximately 3 1/2 weeks) or for the full season (approximately 7 weeks). Teenagers in Grades 9 & 10 participate in full session camping. Campers in Grades 1, 2, 3, and 4 are eligible for our shorter “Taste” Opportunities. Camp Ramah in Canada offers a six-week Tikvah program for campers, ages 12-24, with developmental disabilities who want to share in the full Ramah experience.
