Waterfront (Agam)

Our agam (waterfront) activities on the beautiful Skeleton Lake include water skiing, wakeboarding, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, paddle boarding, daily swim instruction, and more. Our waterfront staff is fully certified and well-trained to ensure a safe and fun experience for all of our campers. We also have an Aquaglide Summit Waterslide, Trampoline, and Thunderdome on our agam! The Aquaglide (named R.U.P.E.R.T), features climbing, sliding, bouncing, and monkey bar activities. Together with several sailboats, these water toys are part of an Agam Enhancement Program sponsored by Ab (z”l) and Phyllis Flatt in honour of Harold and Carole Wolfe’s “special” birthdays.

Arts (Amanut)

Camp Ramah is home to a vibrant arts program, where campers are able to express their creativity through guided instruction in dance, theatre, cooking, music, woodworking, and arts & crafts. Inside our new Matnas Activity Centre, we offer skilled instruction in popular activities such as painting, tie-dying, and jewelry making, as well as a robust ceramic program, where campers are taught to use our pottery wheels to create projects that are useful, artistic, and fun. Campers can taste our famous Cookie Pie in bishul (cooking), design and create jewelry in ceramics or build a chair in nagarut (woodworking). Our tzevet (staff) are fully trained to bring our campers’ creativity and visions to life.

Sport & Outdoor Adventure

Hockey, tennis, softball, basketball, hiking, and biking are part of the sports and outdoor programming that we offer at Camp Ramah. Our passionate specialty staff teaches the fundamentals of sports and creates a positive environment that makes it fun and inviting for each camper to participate, regardless of their skill level or ability. We also offer an exciting etgar (outdoor adventure) program led by certified wilderness specialists. Our campers are given the opportunity to go on overnight canoe camping trips, both on our own lake as well as in provincial parks. On these trips, they explore the incredible surroundings of the Muskoka region. We also have biking trails right on-site, which gives campers the opportunity to explore the camp’s beautiful outdoor surroundings. Click here to watch a video about our sports program, and click here to watch a video about our etgar program!

Jewish Values

Experiential Jewish Education is a big part of who we are at Camp Ramah and it is woven into the fabric of each day Campers learn Hebrew through the contagious enthusiasm of singing together as a kehila (community), they grow spiritually through experiencing beautiful tefillot (prayers) on the beach, and they gain an appreciation and love for Israel through our passionate and talented mishlachat (Israeli staff). Jewish learning and living are seamless, fun, and exciting for campers at all levels. Shabbat at Ramah has a particularly special quality to it, as campers and staff are actively involved in creating meaningful weekly Shabbat experiences. Click here to watch our Arazim perform their Shabbat song for camp!
