Meet The Doctors

 Dr. Jacob Rosenberg

Dr. Rosenberg graduated from Sackler School of Medicine in 2000 and completed his Pediatric Residency and Chief Residency at Schneider Children’s Hospital at North Shore in Manhasset, New York in 2004. He practiced Pediatrics in New York for almost 6 years before moving to Toronto in April 2010 and joined the Vaughan Pediatric Clinic. Dr. Rosenberg is returning doctor to Camp Ramah and will bring his wife, a Ramah alum, and his 4 daughters to camp.

 Dr. Tanya Wyman

Dr. Tanya Wyman is an alumni of Camp Ramah in Canada. She loved being a camper in the 80’s, staff in the 90’s and is now enjoying working as a camp doctor while her kids are thriving as Ramah campers. She is a family physician with a practice in Toronto, Ontario. She trained at the University of Toronto Medical School after studying at McGill University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.  She is an assistant professor at the University of Toronto and is on staff at North York General Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. She enjoys running on her own and after her four incredible kids when she is not busy at work. This is her sixth year as a family doctor at Ramah and is so excited to return.

Dr. Laura Waltman

Dr. Laura Waltman is a General Pediatrician in the Hamilton area. She graduated from the University of Toronto’s Medical School in 2005. She started her Pediatric Residency at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa and completed her final year at McMaster Children’s Hospital in Hamilton. Since 2015 Laura has worked at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington and has a community practice in Hamilton. Laura is happy to be returning for her second summer at Camp Ramah. While she is not alumni herself, her family and husband have deep roots at the camp. Laura will bring her husband, Ari, and three future Ramaniks – Max, Nora, and Sadie.

Dr. Joanna Shapiro

Joanna has been practicing family medicine for over 20 years.  She currently works at Rexdale Medical;  a community practice seeing patients of all ages.  She also dabbles in mindfulness, teaching Mindfulness Based group therapies at the Centre for Mindfulness Studies, and does ADHD medical management at the Possibilities Clinic in Toronto.  But her first love has always been being a Camp Ramah in Canada camper/staff and then camp doctor and she is delighted to return for her 5th summer this year.

Dr. Tali Wise

Dr. Tali Wise is a pediatric emergency medicine physician at Sick Kids hospital, and works with her dad as a community pediatrician.  She has 2 children who are Ramah Campers. Tali is an alumnus of Camp Ramah in Canada and is excited for her first summer as camp doctor.
