PROCEDURES & POLICIES: Complete the application in its entirety, giving as much information as possible. Scholarship Option – In addition to outside funding sources (synagogues, etc), we, as a camp, have a Scholarship Program. Details and forms are on our website under “Prospective Families.” Deposit must be paid by credit card and submitted at the same time as the application. Subsequent payments may be made for Canadian residents by credit card or cheque, and for US resident by credit card or PayPal. You will receive an auto-response email from us acknowledging that we have received your application. Acceptance Process – All applications are reviewed by our Camp Directors to determine space and acceptance. An acceptance email will be sent to you and an invoice stating the balance. Campers will not be permitted to attend camp until all fees have been paid. All payments must be paid in full by April 1, 2024. If paying by credit card, please note there will be a 2.5% administration fee (with the exception of the deposit). For Canadian residents, if paying by cheque, please send in post-dated cheques with the last payment dated no later than April 1, 2024. Tuition for the 2024 season is as follows: Full Session: $10,650.00, First Session: $6,990.00, Second Session: $6,550.00, Tikvah: 8,000.00, Taste of Tikvah: $1,000, Six Week: $9,600.00, Masa BaTeva: $7,250.00, Taste of Nitzanim/Arazim: $4,000.00, Shorashim Alef and Bet: $2,800.00, Shorashim Gimmel: $4,000, Mini -Taste/Garinim: $450.00.

We cannot guarantee a space in camp. We urge you to apply early. We will send you an email confirmation that we received your application, and an acceptance status email will follow.

If Camp needs to change the dates for your child’s session materially, you will be given options to change your enrollment or you will receive a full refund.

Cancellation Policy: All requests for withdrawal must be made in writing, including the date of the request and the reason for withdrawal. All deposits are fully refundable until January 15, 2024. Any withdrawal requests after January 15 will result in a forfeiture of tuition, including the deposit and any unpaid portions of tuition. Withdrawal for personal health emergencies prior to the start of camp will result in a full refund, less the $1,000 cancellation fee.

No tuition refund will be made for voluntary withdrawals after the start of camp. If a camper leaves at the camp’s request, tuition may be forfeited or prorated on a per diem basis, at the discretion of the Directors, plus a $1,000 cancellation fee.

Extension Policy: Any requests for extensions made before camp begins will be granted, providing there is space. Once camp begins, there will be a $100 surcharge for any type of extension.

Wellness Policy: All children attending Camp Ramah are required to submit a completed medical form. As well, all children attending Camp Ramah must be up-to-date in their immunizations, as determined by the provincial schedule. This includes routine childhood immunizations and may include other immunizations. Please see the forms and documents section of your CampInTouch portal for the list of required immunizations. Camp Ramah in Canada reserves the right to make requests and changes related to Provincial and Federal guidelines related to COVID-19 requirements.

Behaviour Policy.

Drugs and Alcohol: The use of drugs and the consumption of alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited at camp. Any campers or staff members found in possession or under the influence of legal or illegal drugs or alcoholic beverages will be subject to immediate dismissal from camp.

Cigarette Smoking: Camp Ramah is a smoke-free environment. Campers and staff are not permitted to smoke cigarettes at any time or any place during their stay at camp.

Graffiti: All campers and staff members are responsible for maintaining the beauty and physical condition of camp. Any vandalism or destruction of camp property by campers will result in damages being assessed and charged to the camper’s family. There will be a minimum standard charge of $100.00 per incident each time graffiti is placed in any public place, including on a new building or a recently painted or re-paneled wall.

The use of our Camp Ramah in Canada name or logo is not allowed without written permission.

PERMISSIONS & ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS I understand that Camp Ramah in Canada is not responsible for my child’s personal property, its loss or destruction, during the camp season or while in transit to or from camp. I authorize Camp Ramah in Canada to print my camper’s name and contact information in the camp address book and to use any photograph, video, likeness or statement of my child or made by my child taken during this or other summers, either at camp or during the year, for promotional or other purposes, in any media including the internet. I release Camp Ramah in Canada from any and all liability in connection with the use of any such photograph, video, likeness or statement. I give permission for my child to participate in camp activities outside the campgrounds as planned by the camp staff.

In the case of a medical and/or surgical emergency, I give my permission to the physician selected by the camp directors to hospitalize, secure proper treatment for, and to order medications and/or injections, anesthesia or surgery for my child as named in this application.

I understand that Camp Ramah in Canada is not responsible or liable for the adequacy or quality of the medical treatment given by local providers in case of emergency. I understand that my child will not be permitted to enter camp until a completed medical form is submitted. I agree that the relationship and the resolution of any and all disputes arising therefrom between me and health services provided through Camp Ramah in Canada shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario. I acknowledge that the treatment will be performed in the Province of Ontario and that the courts of the Province of Ontario shall have jurisdiction to entertain any complaint, demand, claim or cause of action whether based on alleged breach of contract or alleged negligence arising out of the treatment. I agree that if I commence any such legal proceedings, they will be only in the Province of Ontario and hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario.
